Editing the Final Cut - Wednesday 11th Nov

On wed, me and Philippa finished our final cut of our music video, the editing on wednesday was mainly just finishing up the editing we had done on monday, once we had finished cutting up all of the footage, we put a lot of transitions and effects into the video, to make it more interesting.

The main transitions and effects that we use in the final edit of our video are, transitions like having to different pieces of footage over-lay each other, so that both are on the screen for a while whilst fading into one another.

 

We also decided to add a few effects like having a shot of just Becky's mouth singing, twice on screen facing each other in a mirror effect. These effects we quite simple things to do, but helped make the video a lot more interesting.

Once we had finished putting these effects into the video, we watched the video quite a few times, to pick up on any mistakes or things that need changing before exporting. Whilst watching it over and over, we discovered quite a few mistakes that needed fixing like; the was a bit of a gap in between to pieces of footage that needed to me filled and we also discovered a few things, like a close-up shot of her mouth, where she licks her lips, that we weren't aware of when editing. In going back through the video a few times it helped us get everything exactly how we wanted it.
