CD Cover Art Images Research

After doing some research on CD cover art, I have discovered that the cover art for a CD usually falls into typical conventions depending on the genre of music.

Rock and Pop music CD's usually show a lot of abstractly artist designs, involving a lot of colour if pop and a lot darker colours and themes if rock. A lot will also show images of the artist or band, but will also be quite abstract or will stick to the themes of colour (bright=pop.....dark=rock)
Some examples of abstract cover art for pop or band musicians I have found, either just abstract design or artist & abstract design are;

In comparison to these pop and rock CD cover art the conventions for other genres of music such as Country are very different. From researching country CD cover art I have found that the main convention for country cover art is, a picture of singer or band, with no interesting backgrounds, usually very plain, with very simple text. The colours for country CD covers are also very different from other genres, if any colour is featured (because quite a lot are black and white of brown toned) the colours will usually be very lightly used (not covering large areas) and will be quite natural and not bright colours.
Some examples of country CD cover art that follows these conventions are;
