Mine and Philippa's first idea for our DVD packaging is, to have it so that the outside of the DVD looks as if it is a notebook/diary (we are going to use a 'Composition book') this diary will have like the name of the DVD and Becky's name with a picture that has been stuck (cello-tape so looks hand made) on as if it's Becky's diary. On the back of the packaging will be some more stuck of pictures stuck on and possibly the contents of the DVD but written in hand-writing, as if written as notes in her diary.
On the inside of the packaging will obviously be the DVD but the design of the packaging will look as tho it is pages from a diary, will loads of;
- hand-writing
- doodles
- pictures
- postit notes
- love notes
The pictures are most likely going to be of Becky and her boyfriend, and the writing will be stuff like the lyrics to her song (as if she is writing and creating songs drafts in her diary) and possibly her thoughts or related things to the song and her meaning.
THE REASON for us using the diary/journal idea for our digi-pack, is because it is related to the songs she write.....the song she writes are her thoughts or feeling towards things, which is what most people use a diary for, to document things that happen and feelings towards things, situations and people, these things are the type of songs she writes.
Also the song of hers that we used for our music video is called 'Time' which could be related to the use of a diary, because diary's are a document of time in someone's life.
